C2 was designed from the ground up, built on true
client-server architecture and is still in use today
by many of our clients, including Australia's
Queensland TAFE campuses. C2 features and modules include:
- Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) - provides
three levels of searching; simple, easy and expert
- Circulation - contains issues, renewals,
returns, reservations, subscriptions, issue charges,
fines, transfers, borrower traps, borrower accounts
- Cataloguing -
- Acquisitions - multiple copy ordering from
multiple suppliers, fund splits, automatic location
allocation, bulk renewal and cancellation of
subscriptions
- Multimedia - sound, images and video files can
be attached to catalogue records and displayed
through the OPAC or WebOpac.
- Security - control access to C2 functions and
fields in bibliographic records, OPAC access
restricted to read only rights
- SDI - traps and advises patrons of new
information in the library, based on patron profiles
- Reports - developed with Crystal Reports,
reports can be customised to suit clients.
- Facilities Bookings - book any items flagged as
bookable, integrated with circulation to prevent
double bookings
- Inter-Library Loans - share books between
libraries
- WebOPAC - browse the library catalogue through a
web browser
